- EEeRA eFItoday1.0As a delivery driver, I have had consistently bad experiences at the McDonalds on Wellington Road in Hastings. The staff attitude and service for drivers is some of the worst I have encountered. Staff are routinely miserable, rude, and unhelpful. They frequently ignore delivery drivers standing at the collection point. They will look straight at you and then deliberately turn away or continue chatting instead of acknowledging you. Orders are prepared at a glacial pace, even when the food is clearly ready and just sitting there. When you politely chase the order after 10 to 15 plus minutes, many staff members get defensive and go on a power trip. On multiple occasions they have refused to hand over the order or become hostile the moment you ask them to do their job. This is not a one off. It feels systemic, like drivers are seen as an inconvenience rather than part of the service. The result is late deliveries, cold food for customers, and wasted time for drivers who are just trying to earn a living. Management at this branch needs to seriously address staff training, attitude, and how delivery orders are prioritised and handed over. Customers and drivers both deserve better. I will be avoiding this location whenever possible and advising other drivers to do the same.
